Hello, going through my Mother's effects I found an 11 page letter from Leading Seaman Richard A Broadway to my Mother, sent from Durban SA after the Battle of Crete 1941. It is very graphic about what he saw and experienced at the time of the engagement. I have tried to find records of Richard but alas I cannot find any other than he does not appear on casualty lists. His relationship with my Mother was a wartime romance, she serving and meeting my Father at Pembroke Docks after his return via Dunkirk. If this letter may be of any... Read more

Help needed I’m building a small model of the Dido F104 when she had her 4.5in turret removed and the Ikara system fitted, can anyone remember what colour the upper decks were, did they stay green or was it changed to grey? Thanks for any help Regards Alan (AKA Splash)
